  • Downpipe splitter/diverter kit
  • Flexible hose + clamps
  • Planter(s) or barrel connection
  • Backflow-safe overflow fitting
Tools
  • Measuring tape
  • Hacksaw or pipe cutter
  • Drill + hole saw (as required)
  • Level, safety gloves

Steps
  1. Measure and mark splitter position aligned with planter/barrel inlet.
  2. Cut downpipe and insert splitter per manufacturer instructions.
  3. Route hose to planter/barrel; secure with clamps.
  4. Install overflow return to drain; verify fall/slope.
  5. Test with a garden hose; fix any leaks.
